iPOD install

Post by EuroSag » Mon Jul 18, 2005 3:23 pm

I have finally bitten the bullet and purchased myself a lovely 60GB iPod.

Great piece of kit, but just wondered if there was anyway of getting it working through the RS6 stereo system.

Mine has the CD ROM version of Nav +, with the normal 6 disc changer in the boot. I've tried looking for an aux channel - but can't find anything.

Does anyone make a kit specifically to provide some kind of dock in the car??

Thanks

Lee

Or you could try an Itrip - 18 quid from ebay and no wires...

Mine works a treat.
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

Word of caution with the iTrips, they are illegal in the UK

Yep, and I wish the law was enforced. I remember one particular incident when I was travelling the M25 on a Good Friday, trying to listen to Bach's Matthew Passion on Radio3. For a couple of miles all I could hear was someone else's c**p noises (they probably thought they were listening to music!).
