It's the brand new XF

It's quick as handles well

Has adaptive dynamics so can harden it up for more spirited driving

Sure it will keep up with the V8's

I am hoping I will be able to keep up & possibly even surprise a few with how well it deals with the twists and turns! Looking forward to it and nice to see couple of different cars

The Type R will easily keep up no problem

On the Wales run a Megane R26 was stuck to my rear bumper in my 550PS / 680Nm F-TYPE R

It hasn't particularly had great press from car journos but I am massively impressed, it sticks to the road like $hite to a blanket! I understand the styling isn't to everyone's liking but not just for a front wheel drive but anything the handling and way it covers ground is unbelievable!

This is my 3rd different type r,had the last 3 generations now and as much as I loved my previous 2 for me this one is awesome. Must admit do miss the RS6 to this day with the power and noise, that's the only criticism I have of the type r could do with being more aggressive sounding to match the styling, even a valved system that was linked to the +R button would have been ideal from factory!

I certainly am!

Just had a service and brand new front brakes this weekend, so the trip should ensure that they bed in nicely :biggrin3:

I imagine I shall be at the back of the pack again in the 2 ton beast, but shall enjoy it either way!

Probably will not want to sell it afterwards!!

Cheers

I had my FN2 for 5 years & loved it. Just can't fault them reliability wise either
