Bleeping noise

Noticed after I had parked up my RS6 C7 Performance there was a beeping noise coming from what seems to be under the bonnet. Sounds like an alarm but no flashing indicators. Bleeps for around 30 secs, stops and repeats. I then push the keyfob to open the doors, start the car and even drive a few hundred yards and it's still doing it. Eventually it stops. This has happened a few times.

My start stop function doesn't seem to be working either only when I come to a stop and put the car into reverse to put back in the garage but doesn't seem to work when stopping at traffic lights for example. It seems to be starting this alarm bleeping after this start stop occurs when putting into reverse, putting the car into the garage and pushing the stop button to turn the engine off. If I have the start/stop function off and reverse into the garage and stop I don't seem to have the problem with the bleeping.

Can anyone throw any light on this please?y

You do get a beep, on startup after it runs loud for a bit it beeps under the bonnet and then drops to a quieter mode. But what you are mentioning sounds like an issue...off to Audi to check it out would be my approach

I've never heard the beep on start up, why does it do that?

No idea, but it does a single beep as it drops from a sort of startup rich running to a gentle idle.

Mine does bleeping but only with door open

the door open bleeping is the most annoying feature ever on a car.

It isn't even a nice synthetic chime either, just a 1980's electronic BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

You can turn it off by pressing OK but only that time, then you open the door and it beeps again.
