I remember seeing a Cherry Black car on Autotrader years ago, cannot be many of them about so could be the same one.

I agree, lovely colour.

Was thinking about ordering an S1 in that colour but they are expensive enough already!

Sorry not my car, just came across it but I thought the same about it being legal or insurance issues. I assume it must use the ski hatch and the clamp that holds the roller cover??

All I know is that was one hell of a determined owner....after having enough kids to fill the back seats, then refused to upgrade his/her car when they decided to have a new batch decided to have something built to hold the family rather than change to a 7 seater....thats dedication!!

Since the B7 was never available with 7 seats it won't be homologated, which means the seats have not passed any crash tests and it's very unlikely any insurance company would provide cover - assuming the modification is declared.

Hi all, a friend pointed me in this direction with regards the extra seats on my RS4,

A few points: the seats bolt directly onto the boot floor and come fully stamped and certified by the installer. My insurance company was willing to cover the vehicle as a 7 seater as long as I sent them the documentation and certificates of the conversion. They also stated there would be no adverse issues with premiums or cover, however I have no children or need for extra seats so have never insured the car with the extra seats or even used the seats - they came as an added bonus with the car and have just sat wrapped up in the garage.

The colour makes me want to keep it forever but time for a change! More than happy to answer any questions
