B8 RS4 Sound System Upgrade?

Hi, anyone upgraded RS4 sound system? I mean the artificial that plays music - nothing to upgrade in the natural sounds

My car has B&O upgrade, but if there is one thing that annoys me it's the sound quality... Not after "competition level" system, rather a stealth appearance but still quality. Would add a proper amp, min 12" sub and probably at least front speakers. I want to keep the full MMI functionality, so head unit remains as is.

Anyone done anything similar? Appreciate thoughts and comments based on experience.

Some people have upgraded the sub in the boot with a similar sized but better unit (and amp) with good results. Its as with anything, its how deep are you pockets..

Thanks, any idea what's the size of the standard sub? I'd be keen to consider swapping at least front speaker elements, the sub and the amp - unless that's just not feasible...
