what a pickle

Post by discostu49 » Sat May 28, 2016 8:11 pm

so I'm on the hunt for my first rs6 c6, i have to get an avant and would I'm to keep this about 5 years, i only do 5k a year so selling it on would like to keep it under the 100k.

my pickle is that i have about 25k and ideally want a red car then black the blue being my last colour, it needs to have black headlining, factory tints and ideally a sunroof, but prices seem to be a bit all over the place. Ive seen private sales advertised for more than garage/traders and I've seen 91k miles advertised for more han one with 70k........i just don't think I'm going to get the car i want for ideally 24-25k....is this possible with my budget or do i need to sell some limbs?

The other car i have always lusted after was the b7 rs4 avant.....now with my budget i could get a nic red rs4 for about 20k - 23k on auto trader at the moment but theres nothing rs6 wise that i can see me affording with 25k thats going to tick all my boxes

thought? :boohoo:

I think it seems a reasonable budget mate. It's a niche car, so not always available. I'd say just hang out a bit longer mate.

you have thrown a spanner in the worx......., thats a nice car, i would do grey if its been owned by an car enthusiast and looked after which this looks like it has and your price seems realistic in comparison to auto trader, hence why i have came here. there is so many out there on auto trader that you don't know what kind of life they have had.......

Alcantara headlining must be an option as mine did not have it, but fairly certain ambient lighting was standard.

the Alcantara was an option on the C6, only on the C5 came as standard.

Within that budget? Yes, I've just done it. Collected today (well, yesterday now), black, 79K, FASH, lots of toys, £25K including new battery, rear discs & pads, 2 P-Zeros and referbed wheels.
Worth it? Well, I left home before 7am, 1 bus journey and two by rail. Got the car at 1pm and have gone through the best part of a tank of fuel since then and suspect I'll do the same tomorrow.
It took me over 6 months to find the right car though.

Auto Trader, Pistonheads Classifieds, Top Marques, Exchange & Mart plus of course the classified forums on here! Both of my last cars that I sold went via enthusiasts forums despite having ads in Pistonheads and Auto Trader. The people on the forum tend to know about the cars and it's a great way of sifting out some of the usual idiots and time wasters you get via generic car sites.
Current:
2003 C5 RS6- forum car and well sorted
2016 R8 V10 Plus
2012 Land Rover Defender XS Utility Full Tweaked Spectre conversion
Former:
2019 E63s AMG 4Matic Estate.
2015 C7 RS6 Misano Red Performance Plus and unicorn miles
2018 B9 RS5 coupe. Milltek Non-Res Exhaust.
2017 BMW M3 Competition Pack.
2015 A45 AMG.Overrated POS.
2016 C7 RS6 Panther black.
2009 C6 RS6 phantom black saloon. Milltek
2006 BMW Z4M Roadster.
2004 Alpina Roadster.
1994 E34 M5 Saloon

That's my old car... did 192mph at a vmax event in it and 0-62 in 3.9 and 0.100 in 7.8 all day long....

They look great in white IMHO - there are more pics on here

Alcantara headlining is jolly nice - really makes the interior more plush.

The white RS6 at Targa Florio is indeed Ollys old car as I bought it from him on 29k miles and sold it (through Targa Florio) on 67k miles.

It is an absolute cracker of a car as I looked after her like one of my children including £1,200 Miglior detail and full car glass coating before I sold her. She has also had the crank oil seal leak fixed under dealer warranty (Portsmouth Audi) in the last 6 months.

Only sold her as I now have an absolute minter of a 22k mile 2009 C6 RS6 running 756.9bhp and 1,040nm (MRC magic!) which is currently sitting in my collection along side a few other toys.

Other than the B5 RS4 (my personal favorite Audi), I would say that the C6 RS6 is the finest of all the RS cars - I have owned pretty much all of them so am qualified to comment!

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nick, does your current RS6 have slightly different Mods to achieve 757bhp v the 700bhp of the White one?

Cheers

Jules, I think the last car was mapped when ollys had it, since then there was a map tweek by mrc which gave more torque and Hp but mods to achieve the S2 still look the same.
Phantom Black C6 RS6 - ex Classba battleship
Mugello C6 RS6 5.0 TFSi AVANT - Gone.

If you have any quieries for interior or exterior LED's then get in touch.

Thanks Trups, that makes good sense. I have read about a more recent map available for S2 which gives higher BHP/torque. The RS6 does look good in white and would imagine it looks better in the flesh. Not in the market just yet but will be just after summer.
