Tyre Choice

Post by ivorl » Sun Jul 10, 2005 5:31 pm

I know this subject has been talked to death but I'd appreciate an answer. I'm trying to decide on Pirelli Zero Nero's, Michelin Pilot Sports PS2, and Bridgestone RE 040's. Which is the best one to go for on an S4?

Thanks

Eagle F1's or Pilot Sports....
This topic has been flogged to death and these are the best options on the S4 for all round everything 9price, wear, grip, noise etc)

GSD3's are a good allround tyre and they dont wear so quickly.

I would second the Uniroyals. They were better than the GSD3's I have on now.

You won't get 100% agreement from any of us. Of the 3 brands you mention (which should all give good performance), the PS2 is favoured most by members here, but that may be simply because more of us have them than the others.

my S4 was shod with F1 GSD3s when I go it. They've got a bit of wear left, but not much, so pondering putting on a set of Toyo R888s for the ring trip...

As already said, this one has been thrashed to death - it's horses for courses.
Conti's are good for me...

Not quite the same but just fitted F1's to the wife's 325i and I noticed an instant differance from the Michelin Pilot economy or some other crap (NOT SPORTS)....they are quieter, better response and high speed braking seems to have sharpened up...it ain't my car but I'm 100% confident the wife will prefer them.
