Haha! To be honest, it's not so much that, but I use the car to price jobs for my business, and I need it to be as under the radar as possible, well as much under the radar as an RS6 can be! A debaged Daytona gray with black pack is perfect. To most 'normal' people it just looks like a big estate.

I know you're keen to replace the one you were sold, but there are lots and lots of cars out there so personally I think there are better ways of spending your £60k than on a 2+year old example at an indi which hasn't been prepped to a decent standard.

The paint looks quite dull as well, so judging by the state of the wheels it's not been washed cared for properly for a while.

The problem you face is the market is about to fall out of the bottom of them as GFV values of PCP's start hitting. As soon as that happens the market will be flooded and prices will tumble. Until then the dealer market is fixing at a price to protect invested cars.

If you plan to keep it for many years and don't mind taking a bath on the residuals, then go for it. But, think of it this way, is that car in the video worth a £15k premium over the other one you bought, I'd say not.

Not wanting to put a downer on things because I know it's an exciting time. My post is more to urge you to put things into perspective and try not to get caught up in the 'chase' for a car that isn't perfect to you.

I agree no need to rush in but like the look of that car and the dealer is not exactly hiding the marks on the wheels. If you like it get haggling and walk away if you don't get the deal and fixes you want.

Yes, I very much like the look of the car, and I have checked the history with Audi, all fine. I have also had the dealer take the car to AforAudi who have checked over and driven it, said it was a lovely car and gave it a clean bill of health. The dealer has been nothing but helpful and did not hesitate when asked if the car could be inspected at a specialist. It has warranty and service plan in place until 2019. I have put down a small refundable deposit and am flying up on Tuesday to do a deal, all being well. I will obviously give it a good drive myself before stumping up the cash. Wish me luck!

I am advised by the dealer that there is finance to be settled from the previous owner. How is the best way to do this? Should I pay the finance direct to Audi then sort out the difference with the dealer? Advice appreciated as not dealt with this sort of situation before....

Why hasn't the dealer settled this? Frankly that's odd. Who has the V5? Who owns the car?

Sounds odd to me.

The dealer is selling it for a customer rather than has bought it off a customer. I'm sure there was a thread a while ago about this and people were saying they had bought cars with finance outstanding?

I would want to see evidence of ownership etc etc before dabbling here.

If it were a private sale you would pay the finance and any balance to the previous owner. Once the previous owner has confirmation that the finance is cleared then they would release the car.

As S or R I'd expect the dealer to sort the financials. Whiffs a bit, sorry.
