Uneven ride height

Last month, I have purchased a 2015 RS6 with 4,000km on the clock. The car has DRC suspension and I realised there is ride height difference between the left and the right rear of the car. Is it a common issue for our car with DRC suspension?

I have lowered the car yesterday with H&R 28828-1 20mm springs set and the ride height difference is still there. Is there any fix or it is a normal? I have read a few post on the Internet, with the ride height difference but all within the factory allowance.

It's under warranty so I would take it to a dealer. It's their problem, although they might blame it on your spring kit rather than the DRC.

Agreed, put it back as was otherwise the dealer response is an easy one.

Mine looked a bit wonky like that after I jacked it up to take wheels on/off.


Settled as soon as I fired it up and drove a few yards.


Audi will laugh you out the door of you take it in againest warranty with a after market springs on.

Mine is uneven front to rear with the rear sitting high. Some cars seem to do this and other dont.

I must say, that difference does look a little excessive from RH side to LH side.

Does DRC need recharging or re calibrating if you fit lowering springs?

Isn't the DRC just linked oil reservoirs on the dampers. Wouldn't effect ride hight? Got to be either Spring sag (not as you have changed them) or some sort of weight imbalance in the car?

Take it back to Audi. Clearly it's unfinished you can tell because there is no top coat paint.

Gentlemen (and ladies just in case)
In the spirit of science I have just gone outside and got the motor from the garage and had a look, on level ground with a laser level, my car is as near as damnit 403-5mm from the centre of the hub to the wheel arch on a (lasered) level line.....
What's yours??!!?

It's likely to be the DRC pressure. I've had the same issue on my RS4 with the rear right 'sagging'. The last time I had the car aligned it was noted that there had been a loss in ride height over time, presumably due to pressure loss. I've had the DRC pressure recharged and it resolved it for a period of time, so will be going back sometime soon...

Checked mine for side to side difference by eye and it looks ok.

DRC pressure must be checked and adjusted if you have lowered the car.

Also, some say I might have problem my geometry at the rear that may affect the ride height too.
