Caliper Colour

Post by norman1979 » Fri Apr 22, 2016 9:59 am

I am looking to pull the trigger on a stock unreg Sepang Blue C7 but it doesnt have my preferred option of red calipers.
Dealer has advised that I will need to pay for a second set of calipers in Red as they do not paint them. Can I get these painted myself easily enough? Anybody recommend a painter in the Herts/Beds area?

Any caliper painting company can do them but normally means you have to take them off, send them to the company and wait for their return meaning you are carless for a couple of weeks.

The big issue for me is the RS Sticker they use afterwards as some are better than others.

My local detailer, Defined Details in Glasgow, painted up a set of callipers whilst they were sorting the paintwork on a RS3... Kill two birds with one stone and get the paint protection done on the car at the same time

I can recommend a detailer in Beds whom I use, also had my calipers painted whilst there, plus he supplied the stickers which are excellent.

I was at my detailer while reading this earlier and asked of he does it too and he said yes. Deep Impact in Daventry.
