Hi Guys,
So I bought a new headunit (pioneer CarPlay sph-da120) for my 996 and basically it sounded <beep>! Needed an amp as it couldn't drive the speakers properly.
Never fitted anything like that before so obviously just started ripping apart the car to remove all of the old wiring and put in a new alpine pdq-v9 in the bonnet. But... I've had to build a new false floor to secure the amp too and now have an mdf floor! I was shocked that it needed an 80amp lead from the battery! I had to hack saw it down to size...
So I want to get some material to cover it with. Where would I get this! Any thoughts?
It does now sound amazing!
Cheer
Alex

Google "acoustic cloth" or "stealth shelf". I made one for a Capri in a past life

Legend, thanks mate! Didn't even consider the fact they'd just sell it in halfords!

Loads of sellers on ebay too. Just need some spray adhesive to stick it down.

Cheers guys, had an hour or so spare this afternoon so have gone from this...

To this

Though I do need to quickly lift it back up as the rear right must be too close to the power. Got a slight squeal to it.
