Hi. I seem to be having a problem syncing my iPhone contact list with the MMI system. I tried many different times to no avail. Anyone else had a problem? I have an iPhone 6.

Re: iPhone sync
I've had this yes, it's not the car it's where you have your contacts stored on the phone, you can have contacts from gmail etc and for some reason they don't show, I downloaded an app (contact mover) and merged them all.

That's what I thought, but I have done that and still no joy. Both the messages and contacts remains grayed out!!

Re: iPhone sync
As a quick check.
iOS has a VERY strong privacy control system. If you have poked the screen on the wrong button when it demands an answer and pressed the wrong button it will restrict things.
It basically demands that the user enables access to core components (camera, email, photos, location, contacts) for any new apps or connections.
In general external devices that ask for access to your contacts will be linking to the native contacts of iOS (the brown contacts App which is linked to the native email app)
When you plug your phone into the socket (if you cable in) then it may come up asking "do you trust this device" do say yes or it will block all access
Go into general settings
Select Privacy
Select contacts form the list of apps
look at the list of things that have been granted (slide white or blue) access and see if you have anything that appears out of place.
Have a little look through the other things in Privacy as well for out of place words like Audi.
