Indeed you are right in normal circumstances but for 28500 you are not talking normal. That is an exceptional price and as such warrants an exceptional car and history.

Daytona Grey and Sprint Blue cars are the most desirable colours right now and the right calibre of car is fetching premium prices. The B7 RS4 is starting to be touted as future classic and collectable car - i.e. low mileage, low owner, FASH and high spec cars in desirable colours are priced with that in mind now, as generally they're appreciating in value. You're entering the market at a difficult time, as there's a huge disparity in values, cheap cars are cheap and expensive are eye wateringly so.

The Paul James car you linked to, is only 15 mins from me and I can easily cast my 'experienced eye' over it to give you the low down. The last one of theirs I viewed for a forum member wasn't worth a long drive down for. I keep an open mind and this one maybe different?
