Oh yeah just realised the Sq7 launch wheels are the C7 PE wheels

I have my name down for one of these, so I've had all the info sent to me that's available internally. As standard in the UK it's been confirmed that the car comes with "20-inch alloy wheels with black front brake calipers featuring S logo". The 21's are an option for which there are supposedly (although not yet confirmed) 3 styles to choose from inc the PE style alloys.

No orders are being taken yet chap. But my name is down at the place I got my B8.

The internal dealer bullitens say it will be open for order on the same day final options/spec is announced, this is scheduled for early May. First orders will apparently be delivered "summer 2016", so quite a wide spread.

Being honest with you though me getting it will all depend on the residuals Audi set. At a rumoured ticket price of c£70k, that's close to RS6 money, so I fear residually it might have a long way to fall in a short space of time, which isn't something in prepared to do with a second child imminent.

For me it's a no brainer, £200 for the same tone but a bit noisier. In fact when I did it to my RS4 it improved the tone too.
I have my exhaust valves disconnected so they are always open which is an improvement. Once I have the mod done I have the option of reconnecting them if it is too loud or droning but I doubt it; combined with the res delete it will probably make it sound awesome but not over powering or too attention grabbing.

So I'm booked in next week to have the two secondary cats and centre section deleted with a H pipe as recommended by my local exhaust tinkerer. I hope it sounds good!

Why the H-pipe if you don't mind me asking?

Scavenging. Pretty sure someone here will give a more technical answer but the theory is that it can increase power and noise. Others say it has little or no effect

FYI I was driving with the 2 front windows open yesterday and I could barely hear the exhaust. I could swear it sounds louder when the windows are closed.

Maybe at lower rpms but I was always under the assumption that at higher rpms the exhaust flow will take the path of least resistance and hence carry on down the one bank?

JCWF tell me H pipes generally make it sound more nascar, X pipes generally make it smoother.

I've had both on the RS4 back to back during our testing and can confirm the above.

No I don't think so - certainly nothing I noticed. I had an H pipe to start with, and it was deffo nascar'y, then that got changed to an X pipe and it smoothed it out a lot, but from memory) the tone was identical. I don't have either at the moment, but we may go back to the H pipe. The car's back with them next week for hopefully the final push!
