Ross - I looked up that "clay" pad you mentioned and ordered myself a couple of those too. Looks like it'll be easier than claying by hand.

So thanks for another product tip! I'd already ordered some of those hex pads you linked to as well.

I've now got all the kit I need to do a paint correction at home ( on the wife's golf which is covered in swirls). If anyone is interested, I got the confidence to have a bash after watching some YouTube vids by an American dude called Junkman2000. The vids are a bit long, but he breaks down the process to the bare basics.

I'm now contemplating a water softener or DI vessel, or maybe a pet dryer or li-on leaf blower (as a cheap alternative to a vehicle blower)!
