After market Air Filter?

What are the options guys?

Ran ITG on my C6....gave good improvements standard and mapped.

Not bothered about fancy carbon intakes etc yet....just upgraded more free flowing filter for now.

What's options for C7?

MRC Tuning do their own version for the c7.
Sold: 2012 RS3 APR St2 exclusive buckets!

Not quite sure that's true Wrekka unless they have changed over the last few months. They put an ITG panel filter in mine.

What style of filter is it?? OEM?

Cone or panel style??

Reason I ask is I peeked through holes in air box at mine last night and it looked like a cone??

Was getting dark though...il check again in better light... :idea:

It's a round one. I replaced OEM with a BMC but don't think it makes any real difference just always used them.

Hmmm, got me thinking now. Itg defo do a panel filter so must be for standard air box.
However if you say yours feels as quick as a mapped C6 there is every chance yours has been upgraded already.

How easy is it to open up airbox? Im assuming its not a 1 min job otherwise you'd have looked already.

Could be never tried was
Just about to close bonnet and it was getting dark....just looked in gap .

Chris, I just looked again on the ITG website. The filter it shows is round not a panel. I must have been getting confused with another car.

Standard vs K&N filter. Standard has a white foam sleeve which is removable over the paper filter, presume as an extra barrier for water in wet/cold climate. Simple mod is to remove the foam outer sleeve.

Airbox is easy enough to open but quite fiddly to get back together as there are some clips which are hard to get back in as the pipes restrict the movement. Hard to describe but off in a couple of minutes, back on is a different story.
