B7 RS4 US spec number plate plinth

Selling a smooth US spec number plate plinth. I bought it used, but never got round to fitting it and now ive sold the car. Its in great condition and has the front parking sensor holes in it.

Not sure what its worth and cant remember what i paid for it. So offers? Im in Manchester if anyone wants to collect.

EDIT: I previously referred to another plinth selling on the forum, but I just looked again and that was a different type. US with a recess.

I take it this one has no recess at all?

If so I'm definitely interested. Would be good to see pics though.

I have a US front spec and there is a recess for the plate. The recess is also taller than a UK spec plate recess which is wider. It will take a road legal 5 digit UK plate but no more than 5 digits. Maybe there are smooth ones but fyi

Hi,

Any chance of a picture, I bought a smooth one with the two strips (upper & lower) but that one has no PDC holes, I haven't been able to work out (neither can TPS) what the part number is for smooth with PDC holes?

Here's two pictures of mine. The front US spec in black pack. There are two PDC holes and whilst the number plate recess is for US plates it will take a UK legal 5 digit size plate and look good. Hope that helps (mine isn't for sale, sorry..).

Thank you both for the pictures,

M'lady my car has a 5 digit plate but my intention is - if I can source the smooth plinth with PDC, I have bought a stick on reflective number plate (like what E type Jags had and others stuck on the bonnet) and stick that on my elusive smooth plinth.

The plinth I bought was around £48 + vat I seem to think I have seen these smoothies at nearly four times that? but may have dreamt that though!

FYi the link you posted is what my plinth looks like, new and for sale if anyone wants it. The plinth you've pictured have you received it does it definately fit the RS4 grill or just an A4?

Hey Rob

From what I've read, I'm expecting it to fit fine. I won't be able to confirm till next week though - had to fly out to UAE at short notice to see my Dad as he was taken ill (doing much better now).

I had the same idea as you; I've ordered a 3/4 size adhesive & reflective vinyl front plate. I also got some gloss black vinyl to see how the plinth looks when wrapped.

Hi mate,

Did you ever price up one like Faisal's from TPS? I want the same one with the parking sensor holes but I'm struggling to find one online to order.

Failing that, is the one you have the same except minus the holes?
