Audi Connect PIN Code

Post by MikeFish » Mon Mar 14, 2016 4:43 pm

Everytime I use the online features in the car it asks me to type in the Connect PIN code.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? It's a right pain in the A.
I've tried entering the PIN when asked when attempting to retrieve an online destination, and also on the main connect screen but either way when I try to use it again a day or 2 later it wants the code again. Grrrrr!!!!

You shouldn't need to enter the code repeatedly - from memory there is an option to set 'connect' to auto from manual which I think is the default.

Thanks, I'll take another look but I looked for all these types of options and didn't find anything obvious. I found an automatically connect to phone or LTE type option which I have ticked already but not an option to stay connect to Audi Connect.

Mine didn't recognise the code for a long time, but there's an option somewhere along the lines of "ask everytime" or "never ask". I think it's under the Tel menu, not in the Connect options.

Yes that's the option I'm talking about Martay. Thought it was for data connection rather than Connect but I have it set tk never ask anyway.

We are probably talking about the same thing but I think the option you want is;
Connect/Settings/Data connection/ (without request)

I think that option just stops the pop-up "Using this service may incur data charges" or whatever it says. I think once it's connected (pun intended) the car should remember and not keep requesting the PIN be entered.

I don't have an issue with the data connection ie it automatically connects to the 4g data Network so Google Maps etc work without issue or intervention. The issue I have is if I try to retrieve an online destination that I sent to the car using my desktop pc at home.
