Did you resolve this , mine has started doing this again and feels terrible at car park speeds .

Maybe thinking about H&R springs ?

How do you think that will help resolve the problem?

Just a thought Sam as mine is only drivers side not passenger . I've double checked all the new arms are tight and fitted correctly which they are . Tyres are as good as new and at the correct psi .

My thoughts were to drop the front 20mm to see if it helps at all ? or Front ARB bushes ?

After all that work you've put in to the car I'd get a reputable place to do a full, 4 wheel alignment on the car. Then see where you're at with the problem.

Lowering the car is just going to throw the geometry out even further.

I had the Hunter 4 wheel alignment done sam ,they did say take it back after 500 miles for a free Re check so may run it there tomorrow,but then if others are doing the same it may just be the way the rs4 is? It also has a slight knock when steering left to right on the spot so I'll ask them to check the steering rack bolts too

That's a very worthwhile thing to check out, although the steering rack bolts are a pain to see properly. Certainly worth checking out though, just so that you can eliminate them from the list.

Have a look at your build Sticker:

2ME = Supersport Suspension
2MC = Standard Sport Suspension

One is located on the inside front cover of your service history booklet.

This ^^^^^. This is normal.
Although it does become more prominent, when the tyre tread depths are low and/or toe alignment out of spec.
I think tyres and tyre depth make a difference as Sam points out.

I never noticed this until I swapped wheels for a 20" set with very worn continental sportcontact 5's (255/30/20). Only really when I come off my drive, downhill onto the road, and have to turn sharply. This is when it was most prominent.

Those tyres were swapped within a couple of weeks for new ones of the same type. Making that same manoeuvre, the steering ping/vibration was less noticeable but still there.

However, with eagle f1 255/35/19's, I don't notice it at all.

I actually had a similar thing but much worse in my b8 a4 2.0T Quattro - that issue was well documented and attributed to a power steering hose that needed replacing.

All very weird, but I've stopped worrying about it.

Cars been and had the 500 mile re check , everything was fine and where it should be .

The guy in the Pirelli dealer started laughing when I mention what the car was doing , he said its the tyres and not to worry . he notices it on a fair few cars that go there .

While my car was in there , jet tyres Benfleet I took a short walk to the petrol garage and notice a very clean B7 RS4 on the drive in silver !!! Not seen one before looked :bowdown:

Is there a guide to checking / changing these bolts? Everytime I book the car in for work I ask for the bolts to be checked / changed but always come back the same, so I bought the 3 bolts, just need to figure out the easiest way of changing them.
I looked at ELSAWIN but it describes it as part of changing the whole rack so mentions removal of all pipes etc so I'm not sure how much of it is necessary just to change the 3 bolts.

No 'How To' that I recall Mike as I never got far along in the process. Think I could only get onto one of them from the engine bay so decided to Jack it up onto axle stands where I would then remove the wheel arch liner to gain access to another bolt. In doing so, I found out that the wheel bolts on one wheel were loose, so it ended up being a quick fix.

Seen that silver saloon myself, it never seems to move.
