They don't seem interested in the mileage either. 4th year was £750. I would pay that again for 5th year. My mileage is under 40K

Has anyone been with warranty direct for a while and had to claim from them - did they cause much hassle or just get on and pay the claim?

I know of one lad with them and he's had parts like the MAF replaced. He's on this site on the S4 forum.

From what I've heard they are ok.

Regarding the cost. A warranty company is just an insurance company. It is simply a matter of risk. Unfortunately Audi's do not rank very well on reliability. Last survey I looked at had them as low as 14th beaten by all the major players, i.e. Ford, Vauxhall. With an hourly rate of between £60 and £100/hr and some outrageous prices for parts it doesn't take very much to stack up a £1000 repair. An Audi know that!

I'm curious at what age the stealerships offer a reduced hourly rate. They used to do this about three years back.
