I had an S 2 in the past and loved the car but the family got bigger so I now have an RS4. (slightly modified)
I could get an S2 and I could go crazy with it as it would be my second car. (change manifold turbo chip brakes exhaust rims etc.)
However reading through your posts, the RS2 or heavily worked S2 seems to have very poor power and torque compared to my current RS4 (I had 330 kw and 550 Nm before the lightweight flywhel went in)
Would a maximum modified S2 have similar or better figures?
Am I just going to waste money?
Should I just stick to the RS4? (it would be really nice to have my old S2 back)

I am working on s2 project and aiming for 500bhp+ and around 500-600NM of tourue, this has been done many times with s2 5 pot cars , it will cost aroud £10k so alot less then rs4.
If I was you I would put that money into rs4, Or buy s2 mode it and use it as track car------ choice is yours

garrett gt35, good cams not sure which ones yet, big IC, big injectors, 3'' exhaust with seperate DP, new rods,lite flywheel, adjastable cam gear,je pistons, head job, carbon clutch,forge DV, big dif , fully striped and melted credit card.
just cant get enough of it

cams 7A exhaust RS2 intake I think will be the best compromise.

rs2 flywheel wheights a tone , you wona reduce that to about 12 lb.

The S2 and RS2 engines are very similar. The RS2 has larger injectors, better flowing EM and intercooler which are the main differences. above 400hp/600nm the conrods can bend which is why they need to be uprated.
