I just asked Carole Nash for a classic policy quote & they said the car wasn't old enough. How did you manage to do it Robo ? Are you using your NCB on the classic policy ?

I asked Carrol Nash for a quote recently after reading (on this forum) that they do classic insurance and was turned down - Feb '95 car.

Got a quote from tesco, with a large excess and was quoted 385 quid. Made no difference that the car has two tracking alarms, all they were bothered about was confirmation of the cat A alarm fitted. No mileage restriction!

I just went through Tesco and it was over £700 (maybe I put in the wrong alarm spec - I'll check tonight). But I'm on £500 fully comp unlimited mileage low excess with my other half on an Oct 94 RS2 with Privilege.

I'm finding it tricky to find someone to cover me with my mods. Any suggestions.

I called them back Robo & they said their underwriters have changed this year. They said you probably won't be able to renew with a classic policy when your's is due. Let us know....

I have an 80 Sport on a 1500 mile policy but they do not actively check the mileage, not once in the last 5/6 years. However what may happen in the event of a claim............ and the new MOT certs will presumably be available on line to the insurance industry ??

ps I don't get near the 1500 miles mark!
A few months ago I was quoted £180 ish for an S2 on 3000 miles, classic policy/ third vehicle.
