Colours - what are you going to order?

Post by giles » Wed Jun 01, 2005 3:15 pm

I have been assuming I will have Sprint Blue ever since the offical photos were released, but looking at Sprint Blue in the flesh and some recent photos of the RS4 in Sprint Blue I am going to change my mind.

The photos I have seen of the new RS4 in Avus Silver look stunning and I am probably going to go for that.

I know it is all just a matter of personal choice but thought it would be interesting to see what you all think about the standard colour choices.

Hi Giles (me old TT Forum buddy from yesteryear!).

I have been thinking about this, the Avus looks nice but it is the same colour on most of the B5 RS4s. Daytona Grey or Black were looking like my only options but I may go for a special order if I find one I like. All the black/grey/silver cars around at present are overkill so I was hoping to avoid those colours.

Still, there is plenty of time.........

I think when we see a black one that will look best, but my personal preference is still Avus Silver. More subtle, practical and classy.

Currently Black, but I'm very tempted by the Avus silver (I'll reserve judgment until I see an avant in the flesh)
Daytona RS4 Avant - Getting better by the day...

Daytona grey is a lovely looking colour and i think would suit the car.
The car above with Avus looks fantastic....but i think the new RS4 in black will take some beating
Cheers fc

Mmm, Daytona, Avus or black were my choices....or a special order - anyone seen the 'Slate Grey' Porsche do, that is very nice.

On a different note has anyone heard of delays from UK dealers - rumours are December for saloons and summer 2006 for Avants. I wonder if Audi are addressing the ride worries by UK reporters?

I've heard of this too. I certainly hope there is a good reason, I got messed around so much when waiting for my s4. An extra 2month wait would be well worth it if they manage to resolve the ride problems, but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one. I'd be surprised, to say the least, if Audi mange to fix a problem that has plagued their cars for years on a car whose development is already 95% completed.

Amazing.

I saw a new RS4 saloon on the road in the UK today in Sussex.

It looked incredible and was in Sprint Blue. Ummmmm now that really stood out. Perhaps time to go back to Sprint Blue - really suited it.

It had an 05 plate and so I suppose it was an import or on test or something - it was just outside Goodwood.

Festival of SPeed is next weekend..... And I plan to go... it will be a bonus if they have the new RS4 there stretching its legs.

I really think someone should be brave and order a white one.......I saw one of the new golf gti's in white today and it looked pretty good, could definately see the new rs4 in it.
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.
