What's the favoured tyres to fit to a RS4 ?

I just got 4 pilot super sports fitted onto my standard 19 inch RS4 rims......£590 all in fully fitted at ATS euromaster! Think they have a deal on mitchlins at the moment!? Cheers Tom.

Vredestein Sessanta, had two sets of these in my ownership of the RS4 and thought they were excellent. I had PZeros before them and didnt see any difference in performance.

Vredestein Sessanta, had two sets of these in my ownership of the RS4 and thought they were excellent. I had PZeros before them and didnt see any difference in performance.

I have to disagree - my RS4 came from the factory with PZeros which I thought were a total POS (zero wet grip, and rubbish life of <9k miles). The Sessantas were nowhere near as good as either the F1s, PS2 or PSSs but for a budget tyre they were OK, a bit vague on initial turn-in but with excellent life of twice the PZeros.

The PZeros were on the car when I purchased it and couldn't tell you how many miles were done on them. I got the impression that PZeros would have been considered more of a premium tyre than the Sessantas and thus my comment about how the Sessantas stacked up.

I have no experience on the tyres that you have listed. I felt that the Sessantas were perfect during my ownership. TBH the only reason I made the initial purchase of Sessantas was based on RS246 comments and cant fault them.

Try any of the F1, PS2, or PSS next time and you'll notice the difference between them and the PZeros or even Sessantas.

For a budget tyre the Sessantas are surprisingly good but they aren't in the same league as the Michelins or Goodyears in my experience.

And the PZeros have been relegated from every league there is...

Really? Did you try the hakkas out? What was your experience?
Both the Hakka Black/Z-Line aswell as PSS has the same rating on tyre websites on wet road

They are a good tire, excellent within their price class. But they are not top end.

Thanks for the info. I'll stick with the PSS then! Also i will inform Audi in sweden that the big boys on the RS forum isnt approving their recommendation!

Just bought PSS from Blackcircles £151 each

Ive got Bridgstones on mine, the turn in isn't great and the sidewalls are a bit floppy but grip levels are good and the ride is comfortable. I'll be giving PSS's a run when they wear out.

Also, I ran Nangkang NS2's on my 20" speedlines and they were superb, really grippy and fantastic turn in.

Sorry to resurrect a that's been done top death, but I need to get some tyres by Fri eve as I've just realised my PS3s are down to their limit.

Can you get the PSS in AO fitment? I cant see them anywhere but have noticed that some members have put them on their B7 RS4s

I've also just read that PS4 are now out too...
