Haha, 77k miles.
What's the best way to carbon clean? Companies that do it, additive or just whip the inlet off and manual labour?
Wasn't planning mapping but will prob do some subtle things

Power test...
Put in 3rd.
Hold at 3000rpm
Floor it to 8000rpm
Time it.
Should be 8 to 8.5secs
Any more and prob down on power.

Or go to a specialist with a rolling road and check the current power output. Lots of speculation on Carbon, vacuum leaks, fuel used etc..

Unit 20, MRC and AMD favourites on here for open heart work on these cars. Worth spending the money to get some solid advice.

I'll manage that in no time, snows heavy up my way just now. Will have to wait for better conditions. Cheers for the info though.
Any other things I should get to know, while we are at it?
Im up in Scotland so not sure if those places are close? Don't know of anywhere around here that deal with them. Had solenoids and vacuum pipes under the air box done at Audi before I got it, along with a new shocker, headlamp and some other bits and bobs.

Nice one and great colour. Keep an eye on the usual potential trouble areas - leaking DRC, oil cooler pipes and aux rads, but I'm sure you'll know this already from the posts/stickies on here. MRC and Unit 20 are the main specialists but Scottish owners will be able to advise of any specialists north of the border.

Welcom & FON...

Excellent choice of colour (the fastest colour in the range before anyone else says otherwise)

There are some Independent garages up your neck of the woods who are trusted by some forum members, if you search for track days & meets and look out for or start a thread to meet and greet I'm sure you'll find plenty of willing forum members.

FYI
MRC are based in Banbury & Unit 20 are based in Chesire

been wanting one for a long time and thought, what the hell if I don't get one now, then I probably never will, haha.
fastest colour? (i'll go with that :) )
will need to have a look out for some of those independent garages. I'm quite far north of Scotland so might be a few hours away from me.
