Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFish!)
Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
Pretty sure the 20s and 21s are exactly the same width at 9.5 inches and both sit on 285 rubber. The offset difference might make them stick out a bit more though.
Actually, does anyone know the actual offsets of the 20s and 21s? I've seen them quoted as various sizes and im trying to work out what size spacers I might need with the wheels I'm planning.
I think I've seen the 20s as being ET21 and the 21s as ET31 but not sure as it doesn't quite add up.

20s have 275/35 tyres for some reason. 9.5J and ET31 for both.MikeFish wrote:Pretty sure the 20s and 21s are exactly the same width at 9.5 inches and both sit on 285 rubber. The offset difference might make them stick out a bit more though.

Sorry 275/35 & 21s 285/30.
On another note, the pressure in the 20s should be 2.4bar bit the 21s is 3.1 bar. The car now thinks the tyres are over inflated and the wee warning light is on. I had a quick look but couldn't see the setting

Yes, just checked the brochure and you are both right about 275s. I could have sworn they were the same width.

RS6 Standard 20" are 9.5j ET21
RS7 Standard 20" are 9j ET35
Winter versions of both the above wheels are from memory 8j ET25
Then there is also the similar 10 spoke versions for A8, S8, A7, S7, A6, S6, which take a different design centre cap.

I seem to recall when someone was selling their 20s on here they said they were ET21 because I recall trying to workout if they'd fit my B7.

Thanks for posting that. OF that style, the black ones are the ones to go for. I still can't work out if I like them.
I'm not overly keen on any of the RS6 wheels really - apart maybe from the stock 20's.

Definitely prefer the black PE wheels. On the second link for the Sepang car three is a good shot of the PE Carbon trim. Looks good....
Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
Your welcome
Went to see a nardo/blackoptic/black twinspoke car today. (non PE)
cant help but think - I really prefer the twin spoke black rim - by far - no matter how I try to persuade myself otherwise!!!
how do you clean the inside of the PE rim anyway ? I hate cleaning my wheels and the PE rim looks difficult !
I suppose its a nice dilemma to have - but a dilemma none the less.
I don't really care whether people know its PE or not and I cant believe that it would make that much difference when I sell it, (pls tell me if I am wrong!) so might as well have the wheels I like !

I have seen the blue/carbon trim in the flesh and its very subtle. I would be very happy with it, but don't want the alcantara, so its not an option without going exclusive. (I think)Cheib wrote: ....On the second link for the Sepang car three is a good shot of the PE Carbon trim. Looks good....
Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
Really if you have the Performance Edition you can only have the blue carbon if you spec Alcantara?
I can't see the spec standard wheels on a PE would make much difference but I would try and retain either something exclusive to the PE.

Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
Yes - that's right as a standard UK order certainly, but I think you specify blue carbon and alcantara and then have the seats reverted to leather as an exclusive. I am not sure though !Cheib wrote:Really if you have the Performance Edition you can only have the blue carbon if you spec Alcantara?
Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
No, you can have the blue weave carbon trim and standard leather seats as no cost option. You could if you wanted have standard black Alcantara seats as a no cost option, don't see the point though.mat776 wrote:Yes - that's right as a standard UK order certainly, but I think you specify blue carbon and Alcantara and then have the seats reverted to leather as an exclusive. I enquired at my local stealer and I went through all of the PE's in the country already as well as ones on their way that are going to be stock cars. There was 24 in all and I have to say some of the specs are awful to say the least. One of them had kept the seats but changed to blue weave carbon trim to matt aluminium

For your information they were a few that had been specced with the black twin spoke wheels so if you went that way I don't think you would be the only one
