I periodically think about changing mine and go off surfing forums and websites but so far haven't found anything that would be such a good all rounder for what I could spend. A mate's got a lovely 996/911 Porker but their prices are getting too high even for quite high mileage ones. I'm tempted by a B8 RS4 but that's about all that would suit my budget/needs. I'm selling my Mk 2 Escort this year which should fetch reasonable money so will review the situation then

Oh and you'll struggle to get such a nice B7 as yours if you change your mind and want to get another in future.
Thanks mate, I know where you're coming from and yes, finding another would be tough. We need another meet soon, be great to see you (and the car obviously!!)

So many cars out there Jay, as has been said. I suppose the options do reduce when you factor in four seat requirements etc. I love the B7's and still can't really think of a suitable replacement so I'm sure I'll be staying put. I keep looking at what could sit by its side as a more fun weekend toy. As an all rounder though the B7 is hard to beat. I do seem to have a guilty thought over the new Focus RS right now though. As a package I think it's got a lot to offer and is on track to be a great drivers car. Just not sold on the image that goes with it.

If you want to drive a stage 2, give me a shout buddy.

I sat in one during a car show in Brussels a few days ago. It's a decent looking car on the outside but the interior is incredibly cheap looking and very standard Focus with a few extra gauges. I'm sure it's a brilliant car to drive but my word is the interior dull...I think coming from an RS it would be a tough pill to swallow.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.
981 Cayman GTS Gray/Orange.
