Bored and thinking about Torque

Just been looking into the overboost on the PE.

I reckon it'll be fun, but it only boosts midrange, overtaking then will be even sillier.

I thought on this forum I saw someone had timed it for the standard car 3.6 0-60 so be keen to see what the PE does to that but yes more power can never go amiss.

Yes, standard car is quoted as 0-62 in 3.9 so actual 0-60 works out to about 3.6 (factoring in faster speed for 60 rather than 62mph and that standard car has more power than official figures). Sp theoretically, the PE that has a 0.2 sec time to 62 should actually make it to 60 in about 3.4
However, I wonder if the PE actually has 45 odd PS more than the standard car or whether it has an actual power of 605 meaning it is only actually about 25 PS above the actual figures of a standard car ie is the figure of 605 an actual figure, a generous figure or a conservative figure.

There's been 3 advertised for sale on German Audi site since I ordered mine in early December, but there are no actual reviews from owners / press others than the official video and press release. It doesn't help that when googling RS6 performance you get a lot of hits about the performance of an RS6 rather than articles about the performance version.
Found no real world test times get or drags against any car let alone a normal RS6.

We are in an information black hole. Audi city get theirs end of feb, and I'm on the list of the first to drive it - I'll give my limited skills review then.

Oh so they are getting one? Bit late for me, I'm expecting mine to be at dealers mid to late February. I wonder if any other dealers are getting one sooner?

Yeah Audi City have got one coming because they are a launch facility (have you ever been to Audi City? - directly opposite the Ritz, and is the Audi UK Showcase)

So I'd be amazed if your car is in before theirs. Hmm maybe on the same run fella.

Is being opposite the Ritz a good thing?! I'm thinking fat Americans.....

A shame that AUK couldn't muster anything for the R8 launch last year. I'm not sure showcase is in their vocab.

Yes I have, I used to be able to see their service department from my old desk in Victoria so they were my 'local' dealers.

Eurgh, that first link is the car I saw just after I ordered mine in exactly the same colour and tried to change my external trim to carbon but my order was locked! Now looking at a huge bill and pain in the butt to change the Titan to carbon if it turns up looking like that.

What red button? I thought the difference was the favourite button on the steering wheel changed to become the drive select button.

Edit: pretty sure I can see 2 lines of text on what used to be the favourite button on the steering wheel on the 1st link.
