Ok to drive with SAI insufficient flow error code?
Ok to drive with SAI insufficient flow error code?
I am getting a P0491-002 SAI insufficient flow on Bank 1. As it is more for emmission control would it be ok to continue driving? I got the codes off a borrowed VCDS, waiting for delivery on mine so unable to perform tests yet. Thanks!

You will most likely have a vacuum leak. Will be ok to drive.
Daytona Grey, Bilstein Coilovers, Pre-cat delete, Centre resonator delete, IM flaps/vains delete, Interior/Exterior LED kit, CAI, Black Optics.

Thanks Grandadg90. Best not to drive the girl around until the issue's sorted but just can't resist giving her a blast now and.then!Grandadg90 wrote:You will most likely have a vacuum leak. Will be ok to drive.

I have the same error code and an engine management light.Xiulaba wrote:Thanks Grandadg90. Best not to drive the girl around until the issue's sorted but just can't resist giving her a blast now and.then!Grandadg90 wrote:You will most likely have a vacuum leak. Will be ok to drive.
The SAI pre heats the Cats on cold start for around 1/3 minutes. Then switches off. A lot of people on here with an MRC map have had the SAI removed.
Talk about a pointless waste of material. You'll be fine to drive, just make sure she's warm before driving away... Which you should do anyway, right? Lol

Searched on the forum and read that MRC doesn't do remote maps. JHM Could but would required piggies at the least. Any idea whether APR maps can map out the fault codes/warning lights after SAI removal?
