Good comedian...lousy presenter. His bicycle tour of Australia was enough warning for the BBC to take heed. I'm slightly worried for Chris Harris in the new Top Gear show.

Top gear isnt for everyone.......fifth gear isnt for everyone...i kinda like both.top gear more stupid and fifth gear more serious.top gear review better cars than fifth gear...so with evans and harris fromting new top gear will be interesting to see how it works out..im more worried about whos joining them,jody kid was rumoured and also that german wifey(forgot her name)was linked but not sure neither would fit in....so we will see.

I'm slightly worried for Chris Harris in the new Top Gear show.

My initial reaction to this was " what? this guy doesn't know what he's talking about!", but when I actually sat there and thought about it, I think I'm starting to agree.

Chris Harris works great with Neil the producer/cameraman, its a recipe that draws in the quick and casual YouTube consumer. Place him on the stage and amongst others and I'm not sure it'll be as successful. Take his recent P1 vs La Ferrari vs 918 video, there was a distinct lack of camaraderie between him, Tiff and the other bloke who's name I can't remember. Chris harris is very engaging and has a wonderful way with words in his YouTube review videos, I can't see that transcribing into the TG formula however.

Couthard is recently unemployed.

The BBC failed to deliver when it came to F1, Sky had them beat in every dimension. So the only alternative for the (rubbish) BBC rights were to sell them on, now you can not look forward to Formula 1 on Channel 4.
