I respect the abilities of the new GTR and had a couple of R33 GTR's (I know you can't even compare the performance) but the R35 leaves me cold.

Leo the best description yet. Far to many people like Ross not got a scooby about the car. 1 drive and they are experts. The handling on air is exactly what it's designed to do on the roads. If you want a track car why would you buy a 2 ton estate.

Wasn't Paul's Gtr on stock bottom end so torque limited? My own Gtr was 800/800 and was an animal but was boring as fcuk hence why I sold it. Haven't drove the new rs6 but I wouldn't be comparing it to a Gtr, both completely different cars. I love how people on here love to jump on the gtr's faults, the initial Gtr for the money was untouchable. Give it credit where it's due, I absolutely pumped some truly exotic cars in mines

Where did I say I was an expert? Get back in your box. ;)

I said I'd driven one and it was a great car - but a Datsun inside. And yet Leo describes the car exactly the same using more words and you agree. Interesting. :p

This is the great thing about forums...........lots of differing opinions!!! I have owned my C7 with DRC for 2 years now and travelled around 25,000 miles in it. I had the C7 on air for just over 2 weeks and in that time, driving the same roads I know very well, it wasn't as satisfying to drive. No problems on the motorway, but on the twister stuff when you wanted to press on it didn't feel as planted or connected. Don't get me wrong chaps I'm not saying the C7 is a handling masterpiece because it isn't. But for me personally I find the DRC set up more to my tastes

On the subject of handling masterpieces I'm lucky enough to have a Caterham CSR at my disposal if I fancy a proper B road blast! Doing the North Coast 500 in it in the Spring, cannae wait!!!!!!

Leo-RS wrote:Paul, you are comparing a Stage 5 big turbo GTR to a standard RS6 hence why you believe it to be slow. Hardly a fair comparison but I can see why you have that opinion. Modified vs standard you will always get that, but cast your mind back to when your GTR was standard, there would be very little in it.
Yeah I guess you are maybe right. I still think of the daft feeling of getting crushed into the seat when nailing the GTR lol I am probably being a bit harsh when saying they RS6 is not fast.

Correct. Standard bottom end so limited torque to around 630lbs and around 750+ bhp (turbos could do close on 900bhp). Awesome car but just to hard and extreme for me. I wanted something comfy, quiet, practical and fast as hell when I want to play. That will be the RS6 once I sort out the power.

100% agree. I wonder how the 2 would compare on a track though, AIR vs DRC I bet there is nothing in it. A load of hype from Audi to extract more cash

Paul, if you are down the road over the next couple of weeks, give me a shout and pop in. You can have a run in a Stage 2 RS6 and hear that full Milltek. 560 upto circa 750 is a noticeable improvement

I've driven both so I feel qualified to judge. For me there was a discernible difference even when not at warp speed.
