Hi Guys

Due to replace pads soon, any alternatives to the standard OEMs you can recommend?

Cheers

Can't help on non Audi pads, but how many miles did you get out of the first set?

Hi Mark I managed 23,000 miles. Car does lots of motorway commuting, with many B road blasts thrown in ( I have some amazing roads near where I live) I find during more spirited driving the brake pedal fades very quickly. I'm keen to find out if an alternative pad will make any difference to this.

Yeah I agree with that. Only done 900 miles and had them fade twice now. be interesting to see what you find and how they perform

RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp

Brake fade? I have apparently managed to warp two sets of discs in 6,000 miles! Crap service from Audi, will not replace 2nd set under warranty!
Had 5 GTR'S and only ever experienced brake fade, never managed to warp or crack a disc?
Will probably upgrade to tarox discs & Mintex pads?
Dave.

That's quite an achievement Dave!!! Thanks for the heads up on the pads, will check them out. Have been looking at Brembos HP 2000 sport pads, but can't seem to find any for the C7, just the C5
