Dropped Door

Post by Dippy » Fri Jun 10, 2005 1:58 pm

The Audi dealer who diagnosed my door rattle is that it has 'dropped' due to hinge wear, and this has to be sorted by a bodyshop. Anyone else has such an experience?

Seems strange 'cos I don't think I use my door excessively and the car's only 4 years old.

Yeah my drivers door has dropped too, bought the car like that. It doesnt rattle though. It looks like the door brackets have adjustments on them. How have you fixed yours ?

I haven't done anything. I have been taking the tech's word as truth - that I will need to take it to a bodyshop. I may do so one day, it's just not urgent right now.

However maybe I should have a closer look myself and see if they are adjustable. The passenger door sound like it is in the same state.
