RS6 vs F Type V8 AWD

Post by MikeFish » Wed Dec 23, 2015 12:12 am

Part one, the RS6 goes up against the all wheel drive Jaguar F Type V8 around the track:

Part 2, they go against each other on the drag strip:

Great find Mike.
Given the the weight difference I think that's a great RS6 performance.
PE would turn it around

The AWD R is heavy, 1705KG

My car is 1,620KG with RWD, Ceramics and Forged wheels. Same 550PS .... If it was dry then I'd take my chances with a C7

Dave, is there a big difference in the quoted 0-60 times between the RWD and AWD?

What a garage that'd be
Wonder how the Jag reacts to a remap? Not been on the Jaaaaag forums for a while.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

Did they even use launch control on the drag as there's no rev noise from either car?

Now that's a good car show. None of this Top gear Pish throwing caravans off a building etc. No SE though so bit quieter than mine!

0-62

RWD - 4.0 sec
AWD - 3.9 sec

but in the wet

RWD - long enough to boil an egg sec
AWD - 3.9 sec

No doubt the jag looks great and sounds epic, but the Rs6 offers so much more for the money. Having 2 kids the jag would be rarely used, if your after power Space and not too bad handling there's nothing that comes close to the Rs IMO that is
I'm tempted I have to admit
