Rear legroom

Post by Steve_Mc » Thu Jun 09, 2005 1:39 pm

A very untechnical question - what is the rear legroom like in a RS6? My RS4 has to go as the rugrats are getting taller and I need more room in the back. Rather than lug the family to a dealer for a test drive only to find we won't fit in, I thought I'd ask here first.....anyone with kids care to comment? Being 6'3" I need the seat right back and need enough clearance for a toddler not to keep kicking the back of the seat :bash:

And another untechnical question - why don't more people sell their 6s privately? Will be looking for a 04 plate avant in daytona if I decide to buy one (just in case anyone here is thinking of selling?)

Steve
You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive.

I'm 6'2" and my 6' son fits in the back seat behind me. There again, he's not a toddler and doesn't kick! However, the back seats are quite deep, so little legs will probably not reach your seat back.

My 3 year old is quite capable of kicking the back of the seat in my RS6 and I'm not as tall as you.

Having said that, his car seat is quite substantial and I can't think of an estate where this is unavoidable. If you feel you really have to have that kind of space, then I reckon you're pretty much forced down the SUV route (personally, I'd rather take a good kicking).

And I have sold my RS6 privately.
