Cheers Mike, thanks to the 3m film the car is still as new after 20k
Gave the beast its first proper clean today. Think I spent more time caressing those arches than I spent talking to my wife all day :-)
I find washing the car therapeutic, keeps me out the house away from my 3 girls bickering

Couldn't agree more with you Silas, had mine a year and three months 10,000 miles and loving it.
The more i drive it the better it gets, a bit like the B7. I remember the slating that got when they first came out,
people saying it wasn't quick enough, not enough power etc etc. but that turned out to be a great car, but,
not as good as the B8, IMO :bigblink:

The B8 has great performance, gearbox, noise and equipment and perfect for lugging the family around,
the next RS4 will have to be immense!

Agreed it's a car you have to own a while to appreciate. I imagine future generations will lack the key ingredient of a N/A V8.

The key there for me is not the N/A part, it is the V8. It wouldn't bother me (I might actually even prefer) if the next gen RS4 was forced induction, but it would bother me if it wasn't a V8 (and as we all know there is little to no chance of that happening).

All the teasers and leaks suggest that the B9 RS4 will have a 3.0 litre twin turbo V6 - with one of the turbos being electric (supposedly zero lag) - which Audi have already shown in several concept cars.

100% agree that no V8 = no sale.

Absolutely love a V8 but my first RS was a b5 and I wish I'd never parted with it.
I'd give it a chance.
Meanwhile V8 C7 ; )

Ha, spot on! But if audi can make that 5 pot sound so good (and it really does sound sooooo good), then maybe they can work their magic and make the next B9 RS4 with its V6 sound magical too. Then I could forgive it for not having 8 cylinders. Oddly I don't miss the big V8 when driving that little 5 cylinder.
