Litchfield Stage 3 in Audi Driver

Post by Paulm » Tue Dec 15, 2015 5:52 pm

750bhp & 922nm

90mm downpipes Litchfield design
Custom airbox as standard box was strangling flow
Akrapovic exhaust
suspension alignment
MPSS. no surprise there I had these on my M5 fantastic tyre

According to Iain there is more in it but at this level the reliability and longevity are assured

no pricing though.

worth a read. also says stage 2 is now 700bhp.
BMW 540i
2018 GTR
F90 M5
X3MC
RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp

4 new tyres, Akro plus the mapping and pipes. I reckon you won't see much change from £9,000 at is it £5,000 for stage 3 with a Milltek and we all know how much Akro zorts are.
8L S3 with stage 2 (gone)
B7 A4 DTM (gone)
B7 RS4 (Miltek Res Valved, 100 cell cats, Ceramics, Carbon cleaned) gone
C7 RS6 Panther, carbon pack,

Just checked their site, yup £5k but then £4k of that is the exhaust.

Akro is over £6k thats mental for an exhaust.

I guess you don't have to have the spec identical to get 750 though?

Akra exhaust is shi*e and will be strangling flow as it uses the same 2 x 2.5' bore as standard. What they have are 3.5 inch downpipes coming down into a 2.5 inch catback, that's too much of a difference and it will be causing quite a bit of turbulence when it steps down. The advantages of the bigger downpipes are being wiped out by the much smaller Akra catback. 922nm isn't great, at 750hp levels it should be around 1050nm, I guess that's what they get flowing 2 x 3.5 into 2 x 2.5 :bash:

Akrapovic sounds good but you're essentially paying silly money for just the noise, nothing else.

Not convinced by Litchfields enthusiasm for Audi RS cars either, I found communication with them absolutely dire. They're better just sticking to tuning Datsuns.
