Hi is it worthwhile wax oiling underneath?
With winter coming on salting of the roads.
I have a slot if I want it?
Has anyone else had this done?
Thanks

I think waxoyling the underside of a car was more important on cars of a previous generation, where the factory under seal (if any) was not of a particularly high standard. These days the factory applied underbody protection I would say is sufficient.
The only places I may consider applying waxoyl to would be chassis box sections that may be directly exposed to the road spray from the wheels. More importantly would be to apply to known areas of corrosion ( don't think there's that many of those really) where there are spot welded seams, but access could be a problem.
However, I still don't think this is necessary on modern cars, but bear in mind liberal spraying of waxoyl that comes into contact with rubber bushes and rubber components will destroy them, causing them to turn to 'jelly', and this will result in more problems than you started out with! It can also block up hidden drain holes.
So basically, I personally wouldn't bother......
