Merlin Purple but listed as Red on the V5

Hi I am planning to go and view a RS6 in merlin purple. I asked the chap to send me over a copy of the V5 and I noticed that the colour says red. I phoned the dealer where he originally purchased the car from and it all seems to check out, however I am concerned as to why the logbook lists the colour as Red. Has on one on here got a merlin purple RS, if so what is the colour listed as?.

I do like the car but the above just concerns me

I wouldn't worry mate it will be some biff who typed the details in the computer. I've had three V5 's changed with mistakes in the past

no no that's not for me I have a Mk2 Golf Rallye on air lol. This will be my everyday car !

Ahh ok thanks I was just surprised made me feel a bit nervous as I'm not buying from a Trader its a private sale.

hi buddy no I opted out of this one some of it was on finance some of it he owned just seemed like to much hassle to go and get. I am hoping to buy one tomorrow which has more of a spec and the chap has no outstanding finance on it so I can just pay him and job done.
