hi guys I need some advice regarding which brake pads to get for my 2012 audi rs4 b8 avant. I am on the non ceramic brake discs so I have found the following brake pads on the old ebay so just need some advice from fellow members on the forum to see if they are had bad experiences with these brake pads

I have seen some on ebay below are the links:

Genuine OEM TRW Brake pads £88.88
- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Audi-RS4- ... Swu4BViVSE

Brembo Ceramic Brake pads £129.00
- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CERAMIC-BRAKE ... SwpDdVZIEQ

or EBC yellow or red stuffed brake pads

Any advice would be appreciated many thanks

What's your usage? Are you bothered by brake dust? Do you have a set budget?

For brisk driving on the road and nothing else, OEM are fine can't really go wrong. Lots of feel, no fade on the road, job done.

If you track the car at all, then you'll be left wanting. Yellow stuff are pretty good, I had them pouring smoke out at the 'ring a few months ago but no fade. I want better for my next trip but for most spirited driving and occasional abuse these are a good pad. Downside is quite a bit more brake dust. Blue stuff are supposed to dust less, but a google will show you the GTR boys have had huge issues with them falling apart/melting.

Avoid the TRW's at ALL costs. Will clog holes and ruin discs in short order. Soft as hell. Cant comment on the Brembo pads as never heard of them being used.
Believe only the man who has nothing to gain from what he says.

I just bought Audi OEM once from local Audi Dealer which cost £77.00 and then paid £35 to have them fitted at local indy this morning. Local Audi dealer wanted £212 in labour alone!

Please tell me the 77 quid was for rears, I was just quoted £319 for a set of fronts my my local Audi dealer!

Anyone fitted fronts themselves? I've done fr and rr on my wife's Allroad with no problems. I'm assuming no specialist tools required?

Yes £77 was for Audi genuine rears. Got local Audi/VW specialist to fit them for £35. Not a do it yourself job due to the electronic handbrake on rears.
