Which front pads?
Which front pads?
First service today and it included an advisory on front pads, "70% worn" or something.
Stealers want 480 quid for the pleasure to supply and fit, i have zero intention of paying that, what options / part numbers do I need for pads? Ill then get a local specialist to fit. Im not a track guy or anything, just standard spirited driving pretty much.
Thanks all

Re: Which front pads?
Mine is in today for front pads, reluctantly at Reading. £436. Necessary evil. I rely on my brakes quite a bit
. I did have a look around at others but thought OEM was the way forward. I've tread Yellow Stuff are good.
Re: Which front pads?
Thanks matey. It does sting a bit when they were 80 quid fitted on my S4. oem from an indy..

Re: Which front pads?

Re: Which front pads?
Gawd, really? Way outside my knowledge zone, no wonder stealers make a killing from me!
Re: Which front pads?
S4 2 pads per caliper RS 4 pads per caliper. Yellowstuff ok but chewed through them in less than 2000 driving only fast road.
Re: Which front pads?
Oem are possibly Pagid. Careful though, you can buy nasty Pagid pads that will kill you. Heard great things about ds2500's.S4WON wrote:Thanks bud. That it or any other info? What make are the OEMs or is that a daft question?

You sound like a good man to know.. Tried any other brands? How do oem compare?u22mjd wrote:S4 2 pads per caliper RS 4 pads per caliper. Yellowstuff ok but chewed through them in less than 2000 driving only fast road.
Re: Which front pads?
Funny you should ask yes! Yellowstuff were a good blend of road and track but at 2000 miles for a set wasn't happy so currently using Hawk HP+ so far quite impressed. Ds2500 great pads but found them noisy as fook for everyday driving!
