DSG - Clutch temp warning - limited torque

This error has come up on my 2011 S4 DSG.

The car drives ok with it - the gearbox just changes gears at a lower rpm. After a reset at the garage it is back to normal. No doubt it will do it again. Mechanic says come back if/when it does and we can look at going down the new clutch route...

Anyone else had this problem or similar with the DSG box? Anyone know a solution that does not involve the a clutch replacement?

So found a specialist in Manchester - VAG Bolton. Luckily they are only around the corner from me (10 min drive).

Had the mechetronic repair kit done and so far so good. Done just over 300 miles of mixed driving and no issues so far.
