Hi Tom
My dealer's body shop have tried to match this paint on my 6+ wheels and have been singularly unsucessful. They have not acheived a good match at all and currently tell me that they are unable to obtain the paint or information from Audi!! So I am awaiting the same info (or 2 new wheels!). When I hear anything I will let you know and would be obliged if you will do the same for me. Good luck.

In the case of BMW you have to supply a chassis number which is relevent to the model you are ordering parts for. i once wanted an evo gear knob for my E36 M3, and they wouldnt sell it to me until I quoted an evo chassis number... not hard, walk round the golf club and copy twoWacko wrote:Do you know if Audi will sellthe RS6+ wheels to bog standard RS6 owners? Not so young as I might look.....pushing 40 now. But I'll leave worrying about that until next year.MartynC wrote:Nope! I'm blaming young Jeeves for that one.
The Faber Castell 9B graphite sticks work after a fashion, but are no substitute for a proper repair and paint finish (if only it matched). Just depends how frequently you think your going to scratch them. I reapply after every wash and hope this will build up the graphite in the course of time.
I think the wheels are about £575, and the same price as regular RS6 wheels. I did negotiate further discount for 4, but ended up getting 4 regular RS6 wheels with some marks and at least 4mm on each of the PZeros for £700 the lot. Think I'll burn them on a track day, then send the wheels to Fluorocarbon for a coating.

RS6+ Wheel Paint Colour
I believe the paint colour you are looking for is "Audi Quartz Grey".
This is not the official code from Audi as they appear not to know!!!.
I had been looking for the paint code with no luck when I stumbled across a Halfords own brand touch-up paint with the above name.
Using a small airbrush to apply the paint, it is a perfect match.
Hope this helps

RE: RS6+ Wheel Paint Colour
According to ETKA, the 6+ wheel paint is titan (grey), paint code 8AU.

Re: RS6+ Wheel Paint Colour
I think the wheel centres for all RS6s are the same colour as the Titan wheels. I've just tested some Halfords Audi Quartz Grey on a set of wheel centres I bought off ebay for my track wheels. Quartz Grey is close, but certainly not a match, and is no closer (but more permanent)than my graphite stick trick.grahamkirk wrote:I believe the paint colour you are looking for is "Audi Quartz Grey".

I'm going to take a spare Titan wheel to Lap-Tab (www.lap-tab.co.uk) in Erdington (just off Spaghetti Junction) and see how close their various shades of anthracite are, maybe leaving them some spare wheel centres to try each colour on. Will update if good.

RE: Re: RS6+ Wheel Paint Colour
I used wicked-wheels to refurb my anthracite Sportecs and they got a great match. I had to meet them at their paint suppliers to get the match and it took about 30 mins to get the right code, but they did a great job, just like new.
