Lowered Suspension

Post by Bisonone » Mon May 23, 2005 9:54 pm

I'm thinking of getting a koni adjustable shock and H&R spring set up. Has anyone else tried this or can let me know what to expect. Modifications so far= AMD Remap, miltek cat back, bailey dv's, k&n induction kit, and rs6 reps.

No they dont make a whoooosh sound as they are recirculating dv's. If you want the whooosh sound you need atmospheric dv's. Which i believe are not supposed to be that good for an S4 but i may be wrong so you'll have to check!!!!

What do you think to your DVs - how well do they perform? I think eatthis probably asked the question he did because he heard, as I did, that although they are closed loop they still give a distinctive sound similar to atmoshperic DV's.

Please post back if you get the Koni H&R set-up. I was going for the Koni Eibach setup but am getting swayed to the idea of H&R coilovers.

Are the H&R coilovers only height adjustable? How does the pricing compare with the koni and H&R?
Cheers

you definately dont get an atmoshperic sound form the bailey re-dv's. Compared to stock they perform very well. I've had them a while now so i'm used to them but when i first got them you could tell the difference when you changed gear. Less turbo lag.... When i get my suspension sorted i'll post back and let you know what i think and the difference it's made!!!! 8)

Would be good to have a single post, maybe a sticky that lists tuning options for the B5 S4....

Such as:-
Suspension Options - Coilovers, Shocks, Springs
Brake Upgrade Options
Exhaust Options
Chip Options
Shifter Upgrades

what do people think... I dont mind compling the information but would need a Mod to approve it and Sticky it!

Good idea. Kick a post off, and we'll see where we get. I don't know how to make a sticky but I'll find out.

Thanks for the gen on the baileys Bisonone.

Olly K, you are really convincing me of H&R coilovers. Quite surprised at the price from AMD - when did you get them fitted?

Think the Sticky is a boss idea. Happy to contibute with research.
