Brake Judder

Post by Zeebuilder » Mon Oct 12, 2015 12:17 pm

I know there has been chat about this but what are everyone's outcome and is it just C7 owners who are experiencing this.

I had both disks and pads replaced after 900mile as the car was stolen and brakes deemed as overheated.

Now 5 weeks and 1000 mile later there is a substantial judder from moderate braking. It's going bk in on Friday but thought I'd bring it up see what the thoughts are.

First time pad brakes and rotor traded. Second time: pad brakes

The dealer gave it.

Problem: bad pad brakes quality.

Hi ZeeBuilder,

Have had the same problem, already had discs & pads replaced after warranty once, same problem seemed to bee coming back after 2000 miles. I then read this:
http://www.stoptech.com/technical-suppo ... ther-myths

Following this, I gave the brakes a good clean last weekend with alloy wheel cleaner on the discs, this made an immediate difference, i then did a couple of high speed braking from 60ish to zero & the problem seems to have gone away?

Hope that helps?

Dave.

Cheers Dave. Car going in on Friday. See what they say!

First set the pads had gone white and disks were discoloured too but seemed to work fine.

This time they look fine but with a great bug judder! Let you know how I get on
