New car help

We decided to get a new car for the missus to go to work in and as our daily slogged. We chose all the spec etc we wanted and it will be here in 12 weeks.

The missus keeps asking about the number plate you can choose your own. The dealer said yes from a few reg s. My last couple I wasn't bothered so they chose. Do audi type something in the search to give you a list or is it random and you puck what's closest.

Any info would be appreciated

As far as I'm aware and the last 3 of my cars have been new that the stealer has a allocated list of numbers about 10-15 available to them and you choose from the list. If you want one with say your initials then you have to choose direct from DVLA.

ah i see,i didnt know ifit gave you a few to pic from your name etc.no worries. ive got a private plate for the RS but not sure were going to get one for the new one

The one time I bought a new car the salesmen gave me a printout with about 20 reg's on to choose from

Normally a dealership will get assigned registrations from the DVLA. You can request a list but it's normally 3/5 reg's
