Help with a part no please.

Post by Sonnyjim » Fri Sep 11, 2015 3:52 pm

When the bumper was removed for the oil cooler replacement this week the two small adjusters at the top of the bumper sheared, this is not the larger plastic ones that are lower down. They consist of an alloy left hand threaded insert and a small M6 torx bolt. Been to both Audi parts and TPS and both are stumped as to what they are, even handing them the broken part and showing them exactly where they are fitted to the car.

Any ideas?

Used the search function and it mainly concerns the lower ones.

Cheers

Cheers nij, but that is seemingly not the right part. It is in the correct place but nothing like the part that came out. I have left the broken bit with TPS see what they can find but spent over an hour there and at Audi with no joy. Surely I can't be the first to break one, it was even mentioned that it may come as part of the bumper and not be available separately!

Ok mystery solved. Seems you cannot buy the small insert separately, you have to get the whole bracket assembly which to me is hard to spot on the diagram.

Part no's for anyone interested are

8E0805363 - holder
8E0805364 - holder
N90955801 - bolt

This is for both sides.

Cheers
