Diesels can be fun if the chassis underneath is sorted. Sadly that is not the case with any VWG product therefore I'd go petrol

BMW and Jaguar have recent handling diesels which makes them bearable.
That's because your monocle has slipped off and you cannot see properly.

In my opinion, if you buy one you won't regret it.

Have owned one for 1.5 years now, and it has basically been bulletproof (touch wood), almost nothing has gone wrong and for a car of this type has been cheap to run (brakes and tyres being the only real expense).

There is plenty of headroom for improvement, with MRC maps, without significantly increasing the risk of breaking something.

I would recommend trying to get one with an Audi warranty and wait a bit before you make the trip to MRC to see if something expensive goes wrong (given it invalidates the good parts of the warranty, i.e. gearbox and drivetrain).

Unless you also made a similar post on the tractor forum, I am guessing your mind is already made up, so get to it!

Unless you have a flat cap, pipe and slippers the C6 is a no brainer.

You seem like a sensible chap!

Buy my old IBIS white C6 from Nick on here. He has really spoiled it and it is a fantastic car. IMHO it really does stand out from the crowd in white and looks amazing now that Nick has just spent a fortune on it.

Not the best specced example if you're fussy (I wasn't) but it does have sumptuous alcantara headlining which really lifts the interior.

Best of all it has full Audi warranty.

Make Nick a senslble offer and Im sure it could be yours (can you tell Im tempted to buy it back?)

My car is indeed a stunning example and I will miss the mid range thrust!

She is on pistonheads for £30,995 but I will knock a couple of grand off this for a fellow forum member as I would rather she went to another good home.

Cheers

Nick
