If you're looking at R8's, then if you could stretch to a V10, then it's night and day compered to the V8 (Going from the other thread though, a R8's not a very family friendly car)
A GTR's very fast, but not a very nice place to be, and the back seats are practically useless
If you definitely wanted an estate that you can use everyday, then a B8 RS4 I think is the best of the bunch, which I why I bought one
However, if you just want an 'occasional car' with 4 seats, and not fussed about an estate, then there's plenty of good BMW's, Jags and Mercs out there that do the job for the money. Your best bet is to get to a few dealers and have a drive of them to see what you think
The one thing that a B8 RS4 can't offer, is it won't ever scare you. That might be a good thing or a bad thing, but that's really down to you

If you're thinking 2 seats is enough, then have you looked at used F-Types. The S model with the supercharged V8 is a beast and sounds good too.
They have an initial depreciation of a stone, so used ones are a good deal at the moment
Or a 997 Shape Porsche 911 Carrera S ?
How do you drive yours??? However - in the right hands even a hire car is scary....... chuckle
Zero Drama

Can't win em all, was trying to think outside the box as I don't think the B8 will be much different to B7/E92

Whereas 5.0 Supercharged 550PS Beast. '15 plate @ £56k vs. £80k list

I'm 50 DK, not 70 so a Jag is out! They are nice though.
GTR is high maintenance too, OK if it's a second car....but if it's a second car you are after then it's R8 all the way. The B8 aint a sunday driver...too practical and flawed if it's purely for driving.

Porker money in my book.....I just can't get over it's a Jag. I could deal with the TT "hairdresser/gay" image, just not "it's a Jag". Even the fact people refer to it as "Jag" puts me off...same as "Bimmer". A mate of mine did a load of promo work for Jag in 2013/2014 and he had them all XKR-S etc etc. Just not for me....pipe and slippers are a few years away.

C'mon DK, when you worked for Audi it was all about Audi, now it's Jag...... :beerchug:

I love Audis, but I would much rather be seen driving an F Type than a fecking TT cabriolet! Saw an F Type R (V8) Roadster today and it looked the nuts
