If they do a rs6 plus, I suspect it will be a hefty hike in price:

Sport exhaust

Horrible steering
Different wheels

I think the D4 A8 is a brilliant car, Iv had a few now! In 3.0 tdi & a 4,2 tdi form. The handling is a little bit boaty, however lower it 10mm with Vag Com & have sport diff and it's a brilliant car.

The A8 is lighter than you would expect as all Aluminium construction. I have requested an S8 demo and have put a deposit on S8 plus to confirm spec, I love the idea of A8 luxuary with RS6 engine, those massaging seats!!!

As for looks spec etc - everything apart from the above is pure speculation; no one knows what it will look like - what it'll have. Pricing is suspected at £100k.

I do want one - and is the reason I held back / bought the B8 ltd when I needed a car.

hiya fellas; some of the dealers have known about this for a long time now; they are milking out the std spec cars at the mo. i know nothing more than that and only spoke out when i saw the s8+ announced.

no rocket scientist required to work out that this 605bhp launch is in actual fact an rs6+ teaser... i mean who buys s8's?

Yup. Confirmed by a friend at Audi.

Will believe it when I see it! Unless someone has had the nod from someone senior at AUK, dealer network won't have a scooby. Still suspect it'll be parts bin special.

Engine has been available in other tunes for ages, so S8+ doesn't mean a great deal.

Hope this is true as Audi won't move forward by standing still- the AMG 4x4s are likely on their way to the UK soon! The C7 Plus was rumoured in a few "quality" motoring mags/sites pre FL which was a shame (imo) that they never came to anything. The FL followed the predictable pattern: lights, a bit of bumper work and some gadget enhancements but no additional power! The C8 might come with a different engine (ala C6>C7) so it makes sense they squeeze some more power (and money!) from the existing lump while they can, fantastic though it already is

Looks like mine, which is a keeper, is headed for Classic status sooner than I could have hoped for!

So release the RS car earlier is the plan; and save a special "parts bin" car to the end as a proper ltd run.

The rs6 plus is definite; Audi UK are telling their dealers about it.

I've allready started warming the wife up; so it must be true!!!

Chuckle - the trick here is to get her into the b8 leaving the c7+ for me..... Oh and generating a bucket load of cash in a very short space of time!!!! I'd love to keep my b8 at the same time; after my wedding and polishing weekend!!!
